One of the best open worlds I've played in years
I've been gaming since I was a kid and I'm genuinely picky about open world games. Most of them are big maps with nothing interesting in them. This one is different — the world actually rewards exploration instead of just marking icons on a map for you to clear. The combat system has real depth. Casual players can get through it fine, but if you want to learn the mechanics properly there's a ceiling that takes real hours to reach. I'm still finding new things after 60+ hours. The story respects your time. Cutscenes are long enough to land emotionally but not long enough to lose you. Side quests have actual writing in them, not just fetch tasks with text boxes. The performance on PC is solid. Had one crash in 60 hours, which for an open world game of this scale is actually impressive. What surprised me: How much I replayed early areas once I got better. Most games I push forward and never go back. This one holds up on revisit — the early zones have secrets I missed and the combat plays totally differently once you've built your character out.
I play this with my dog asleep across my lap. 10/10.
Open-world, low-stress, can put it down mid-session when my dog decides it's walk time — this is the game for pet owners.I've been gaming for fifteen years and this is the most I've talked about a single title to other people in a long time. The world building is dense without being overwhelming. The side content is actually good — not checklist padding, just interesting things to find.my dog gets a walk at 8pm every night. I've structured my gaming sessions around that. This game is perfect for it because nothing forces you to keep going — you can always find a safe moment to put the controller down. That's underrated game design for people with dogs. What surprised me: How much I replayed early areas after getting better at the mechanics. Most games I move forward and forget what came before. This one holds up on revisit.
Fantastic Game
This is a Fantastic Game. I love how open ended it is, I feel like i can get lost in this world. If you enjoy solving puzzles and getting pulled into a different world, than this is the game for you.
