My dog was more entertained by the disc case

I wanted to like this. The premise is interesting and my feed was full of people raving about it. But two hours in I wasn't feeling it, and I gave it three more hours to win me over based on the reviews. It didn't. The combat felt floaty to me in a way I couldn't adjust to. The story wasn't pulling me through the parts I found dull. I checked my phone twice during cutscenes, which is my personal threshold for 'this isn't working.'This is clearly a taste thing. The production values are genuinely impressive. The world design has obvious craft in it. It's just not my kind of game.my dog tried to chew the case when I left it on the coffee table. She has opinions too. What surprised me: How much I respected the design even while not enjoying playing it. There's a difference between a bad game and a game that isn't for you. This is the second thing.

Not for me — and that's fine

I'll be straight: I wanted to like this more than I did. The hype was real and the production values are obviously high. The art direction is genuinely impressive and you can feel the budget in every environment. But the gameplay loop didn't click for me. The combat felt floaty in a way I couldn't calibrate to — I kept feeling like my inputs weren't landing the way I expected. I adjusted sensitivity, tried different settings, watched some guides. Still felt off.The pacing in the first act is slow. I understand it's building atmosphere but I needed something to hold me through it and I couldn't find the hook. I put it down around the five hour mark and haven't gone back.I want to be clear: this isn't a bad game. The reviews from people who love it are not wrong — I can see exactly what they're responding to. It's just not my genre at heart and I should have known that going in.What surprised me: How much I respected the design even while not enjoying playing it. The world is dense with detail that most players will miss. That's real craft. Just not the game for me.

    Not My Game

This might be your type of Game, but for me. I just couldn't get into it. It felt redundant. Doing the Same actions over and over again.
