My dog has claimed half of it. It survived.

Let me tell you what I needed from a couch: something that looks good enough to be in the background of my gaming setup stream, something my dog can't destroy, and something I could actually afford in a 700 sq ft apartment. Tall order. This sofa is the closest I've come. The fabric has held up to my dog's claws — she does this thing where she kneads before she settles, like a cat, and my last couch looked like it lost a fight with a cheese grater within three months. This one is eight months in and still looks clean. The modular thing matters more than I thought. I reconfigured it when I moved my desk setup and it took twenty minutes. That's genuinely useful in a small space. What surprised me: Fur doesn't embed into the fabric the way it does on my old microfiber couch. A lint roller gets it off in one pass. Game changer when you have company coming over and twenty minutes to make the apartment look like a human lives there.

Comfortable and it hasn't fallen apart. Good enough.

We needed a new sofa. The old one was twenty-two years old and the frame finally gave. We went to a furniture store and I sat on about fifteen sofas. I chose this one because it was firm enough to get up from without effort — I don't want to sink into a couch and need help standing up. That firmness has stayed consistent two years in. Some cushions compress over time and you end up sitting lower than you expected. These haven't done that. Assembly was more involved than I expected for a sofa. Took my son and me about ninety minutes. The instructions had pictures, which helped, but a couple of the steps required a third hand we didn't have. The fabric cleans with a damp cloth. I've tested that claim and it's accurate. What surprised me: The legs are solid. Furniture legs are usually the first thing to fail. These are properly attached and I've put my full weight on the arm testing them. No movement.
